Cox takes honours at Hawke's Bay Sports Awards -- Posted by Eric on 3 Jun 10
Nikki took out the Senior Sportsperson of the Year award ahead of a strong field which included last years overall winner Westley Gough.
This award caps off a very successful year for the Westshore Surf Life Saving Club memeber both at National and International levels.

Congratulations to Nikki and we wish her well for Rescue 2010 which will be held in Egypt in October.

Cox is finalist for NZU Sportsperson of the Year -- Posted by Eric on 28 May 10
University Sport New Zealand (USNZ) has announced the recipients of the prestigious Blues Award for the 2009 academic year. Nikki Cox, Surf Life Saving World Champion and New Zealand Surf Life Saving Ironwoman has been shortlisted as a finalist for the 2009 NZU Sportsperson of the Year as well as a NZU Blues Award.

Westshore Surf Life Saving is a voluntary, community service organisation, formed in 1959 to provide protection to the beach going public on Westshore Beach, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. Member Lifeguards patrol the beach each summer between Labour Weekend and late March. Westshore beach is the most popular beach in Napier and is used regularly by residents and visitors to Napier City.
